I know I hadn't made any check-in yet, but still I would like to raise a minor issue that I think we should pay attention to.
It regards the way we check-in and check-out the project.
I've seen in the last weeks a lot of consequent check ins and it can bring some difficulties rolling back or in worst situations, merging two versions based on some dependencies.
Therefore, I think we should all pay attention to follow the given rules:
- Only one check-in per day per developer.
- As often as possible, (daily would be the best) perform a unit build: per day (nighlty builds), every 2 days, or per week. This has to be performed by the coordinator (Kobush in other words).
This way, we can avoid getting too many check-ins in codeplex and still get a unit build that we know compiles.
What do you think?
